Team Prolite Feature: Taylor Leone

Prolite is excited to announce that our talented athlete, Taylor Leone, will be participating in the upcoming Lake Forest tournament in Lake St. Louis on July 29th and 30th! Taylor has been recovering from a shoulder injury, and we wish her the very best as she anticipates returning to the sport she loves.

Not only this, but Taylor will also be directing two local tournaments in September -- one supporting an emergency shelter for women and children in Union, MO and another supporting the Hermann, MO Lions Club. We look forward to cheering her on as she supports her local community!

Meet Taylor Leone

"I started playing pickleball back in 2017 when my parents begged me to try it. Why would I want to play that? I heard it's just for old people, and I wasn't overly impressed when I played it in high school gym class. Well, I sure am glad I happened to give it a shot because I was instantly hooked! I have met some of the most amazing people since being introduced to this sport and can honestly say I consider many of my pickleball friends to be family. I have been playing with Prolite paddles since early 2018 and never looked back!

Aside from playing pickleball, my passions all lie somewhere between animals and being competitive. I am a professional dog trainer, and I went to school for equine science. I absolutely love spending time with my dogs and horses. When I'm not tied up with work or pickleball, you can find me in the gym or lounging at the river.

I am currently in the process of returning to tournaments now after healing from an unfortunate shoulder injury. I am scheduled for the Lake Forest tournament in Lake St. Louis on July 29th & July 30th and will also be playing in the Innsbrook tournament in Warren County, MO in early October. I typically play 4.5-5.0 depending on location and size of the tournament and try to participate in at least one tournament per month (while I'm healthy at least!). I will also be directing two local tournaments, one supporting an emergency shelter for women and children in Union, MO, and another supporting the Hermann, MO Lions Club in September.

Prolite is less of a sponsor to me and more like family. I have never been sponsored by a company that is so involved and supportive of my athletic career but also my personal and professional success. Their products made them easy to support and stand by in the beginning, but now it's more about the loyalty and support I can offer the company and my teammates. I can honestly say that Prolite is a one-of-a-kind paddle company."
