Other companies are now calling it "Titanium" paddles, but Prolite was years ahead of the game introducing the LX Series in 2021! Yes, 2021 people!
So why are others calling it titanium? At Prolite, we are not sure. Seems a little "click baitish" to us. If it was titanium, it would be costing a heck of a lot more. What is it then? It's called PET or polyethylene terephthalate. A mouthful. It's a type of resin in the polyester family and commonly used in clothing, containers, and thermoforming for manufacturing. After the initial release of the Black Diamond Series of paddles, we decided to make it even better, but with a more beautiful, classier, and silky look. This is why we decided on the silver and gold versions of this thread. Plus, it made the weave even tighter and more durable and we call it, The Hyperweave! That was not enough though. We wanted a plush feel. Extra dwell time so you can actually feel and maneuver the ball in the direction you want to. We then added two extra layers of unidirectional carbon fiber under the top. The result? An extra thick surface with the most forgiving feel at impact along with added vibration absorption qualities.
